Religious and Spiritual Needs

We respect everyone’s preference in terms of their specific religion, and these are catered for through different ministers within the location of care home, whatever religion the resident is, we comply and assist.

Philosophy

If we can meet the needs of the resident, then we can offer the resident a place to come and enjoy life, supporting their family to ensure that we work together as a team. Our Care Home has a service responsive focus and drive to facilitate the delivery of quality, dignified, person centred care. Which embraces lifestyle and supports meaningful occupation. We have every confidence that we can provide a suitably experienced and empathetic carer with the skills and personality to suit your personal circumstances.

Activities

Residents are encouraged to come and go as they please and this would depend on their capabilities and sometimes assistance may be required. Our social activities include cards, dominoes, jig saw puzzle, craft afternoons, entertainment from singing to magician or comedian is provided on a weekly basis by our staff. This is always a delight to the ladies and gentlemen. Resident’s family members are encouraged to join in with booked entertainers and outings.

Care Group

Some staff have been with The Urmston Manor Care Home since it opened and as time has moved on so are their off-springs and grandchildren working here now and occasionally have put their own loved ones to reside here. In–house training is given regularly in order to provide a high professional standard of care. Residents are cared for by more or less of the same personnel on a daily basis, which has to be a comfort to the people staying in our home.   We have four ancillary deputies in charge and 22 members of staff in various degrees of expertise working on a rota throughout the day and night. Our employees try to build confidence and promote independence to enable residents to lead a fulfilling and happy life. Respect and privacy come first and foremost to the needs of our residents. We offer exceptional standards of care and expertise. And understand the needs and concerns of people looking into care homes for themselves or for their loved ones.
